Chamber Initiatives
The objectives of the Catoosa Chamber of Commerce are divided across three divisions, Economic Development, Community Development, and Organization Development. The following shows the goals the Board of Directors has identified as most important for our community.
Economic Development
City-Chamber Partnership Committee
· Expand our relationship with the Catoosa Economic Development Authority (CEDA),
· Work closely with our city mayor on economic development strategies,
· Make plans for Catoosa’s continued growth.
Area Relations Committee
· Continue to foster good working relationships with Rogers County Industrial Development Authority (RCIDA), Port of Catoosa, and Rogers County communities to share and support ongoing development efforts,
· Establish working relationships with neighboring communities.
Ambassador Program
· Continue to be the welcome arm of the Chamber,
· Offer ribbon cuttings for new businesses,
· “Spotlighting” outstanding member investors,
· Plan monthly Chamber luncheons and “after-hours” events.
Community Development
Education Committee
· Work closely with our Catoosa Public Schools, school board and administrators to continue to increase the public image of our school system,
· Monitor the provisions of the bond issue, through the Oversite Committee, to ensure funds are administered correctly,
Adopt a School Committee
· Promote partnerships between area businesses and Catoosa schools.
Beautification Committee
· Plan and complete projects to help beautify Catoosa.
Organizational Development
Website and Membership Committee
· Develop, administer, and maintain a professional, informative website to promote the Chamber of Commerce and our membership,
· Plan, schedule and host quarterly business seminars,
· Develop annual membership goals,
· Promote membership to prospective business and civic organizations.
